Dark Earth (BS 450): Upper surface color, combined with Dark Green. From 1941 until the end of the war. Dark Green (BS 241): Upper surface color combined with Dark Earth or Ocean Grey. From 1941 until the end of the war. Ocean Grey (BS 629): Upper surface color combined with Dark Green. From 1942 until the end of the war. Medium Sea Grey (BS 637): Lower surface color combined with Dark Earth/Dark Green or Ocean Grey/Dark Green on the upper surface from 1942 until the end of the war. Also used for numbers and codes. Sky Type S (BS 210): Lower surface color, combined with Dark Earth/Dark Green on the upper surface from 1941 until 1943. Also used for numbers, codes and fuselage stripes. Sky Blue (FS 35550): Lower surface color combined with Dark Earth/Dark Green on the upper surface starting in 1941 until the beginning of 1942. Also used for numbers, codes and fuselage stripes. Night Black (BS 642): Lower surface color together with Sky Type S or Sky Blue, combined with Dark Earth/Dark Green on the upper surface (Temperate Land Scheme) from 1941 until beginning 1942. White (FS 37875): Color for theater of operation identification stripes on the fuselage and wing surfaces, also used for numbers and codes.
