Veterans of the Fall is a Warhammer 40,000 novel that tells the story of the Kasrkin veterans known as the Tattershields, stranded in the aftermath of Cadia’s destruction. On a shattered world torn apart by rival Chaos cults, these soldiers continue to fight against impossible odds.
Led by Sergeant Kostantin Taikon, the Tattershields anchor the crumbling Imperial defence through sabotage, assassinations and sheer discipline. Haunted by guilt and fatalism, Taikon fights on without hope of victory or redemption, inspiring his troops to defy despair itself.
As infiltrators sow discord and a sadistic new enemy approaches, the Imperials’ grip on the planet slips further. When all hope is gone, only defiance remains, and Taikon will lead his indomitable Kasrkin to the bitter end.
